Born in 1966, Antonio Cacciatore is a visual artist.
In 2006, he brings an end to his career as a management consultant. It is in Australia where he lives that he starts his learning of visual arts at the Sydney National Art School.
Back in Paris, he continues his training between Great Masters and hyperrealist techniques.
Today, he lives and works in Paris.
What interests me is reality, and for me, reality is an enigma.
My painting, is not a representation of reality.
It is enigmatic figuration.
I like to make paintings that are silent because I think
silence actually carries enigma and gives them power.
The power of images comes from their silence.
Silence says what it has to say about itself.
Then it resonates in one’s own dream, one’s own interiority.
Resonance leads to intimate projections that question us
and may model our reality.
- Cacciatore was awarded with The prize 2009 of the Roof of the Grande Arche of La Défense on the 17th December 2009 by a jury including Antoine Poncet, President of the Beaux Arts Academy.
